What is PROFHILO®? It is a stabilised PURE hyaluronic acid that spreads and smooths out under the skin for total bio skin remodelling and rejuvenation. Add an instant glow to your skin whilst it works it magic. It lifts, tightens, boosts collagen and adds pure hydration to your skin.
The treatment is split into two sessions with a 4 week gap in between. The first session is all about STIMULATING your skin, the HA will last in your skin for 28 days giving you an instant glow whilst it starts to stimulate the fibroblasts within the cells and remodel your skin.
At your second session it is all about BOOSTING – The anti-oxidants within PROFHILO act as a shield and the HA give you immense hydration all whilst they continue to remodel your skin.
This is not a filler and it is not Botox, please note PROFHILO cannot be used in the forehead.
PROFHILO can be used on Hands, Face & Neck – Two sessions are required per area.

How the process works
After a thorough consultation, you will be prepped and made as comfortable as possible before having 5 small injections on both sides of your face. After the treatment you may find you have a small bump in the injection sites. This is perfectly normal and will go down on average between 2 – 24hrs but can, in some skin last for up to 2 days.
Treatment time – 30 minutes
Results vary but last for up to 6 – 9 months
We recommend 24hrs downtime
In some cases you may have some minor side effects of bruising and/or swelling
Most people start to see a significant improvement in their skin after just 5 days.
Prior to your treatment?
Your therapist will cover this thoroughly with you but some main points to remember:
- Avoid using retinols and retinal a few days prior to treatment.
- Avoid retinoids TWO weeks prior to treatment
- Any cheek/Jawline fillers or Facial laser/IPL treatments require a TWO week gap prior to PROFHILO
- If you have had tear trough fillers you must wait 6 months before we recommend PROFHILO
Aftercare
- Avoid wearing make up for min 12hrs
- Avoid alcohol and vigorous exercise for 48hrs
- Avoid sunbathing, sun exposure and extreme heat or cold for 14 days post treatment
- Bruising may take a few days to appear, arnica can be helpful in clearing bruising
- It is advisable to avoid aspirin for 12 -48hrs after treatment
- Any tenderness should settle as swelling/bruising goes down.

What does the treatment entail?
The treatment is split into two sessions with a 4 week gap in between. For your face you will have 5 small injections on each side of your face. If having your neck treated you will have a total of 10 small injections.
How long is the appointment?
For your first time including your consultation your appointment will be approx 30 minutes.

Does it hurt?
Some mild discomfort may occur during treatment application due to the nature of this being an injectable treatment. Although discomfort is generally minimal, we can use a numbing cream to help with pain management should this be required. (PLEASE NOTE that if you have your appointment during your menstrual cycle, the pain level could be intensified.)
Is there any downtime?
You may find you have a small bump in the injection sites. This is perfectly normal and will go down on average between 2 – 24hrs but can, in some skin last for up to 2 days.
There may be slight redness, bruising and swelling that could last a few days. You can take over-the-counter painkillers but are advised not to take anti-inflammatory painkillers such as ibuprofen.
How many treatments will I need?
Two treatments – 4 weeks apart.
Treatments can be repeated at 6 monthly intervals.
