How the process works
At your appointment a full consultation will take place to ensure which blood service is best for you.
The area will be cleaned and a phlebotomist will insert a small needle into your vein to collect your blood.
The blood samples are examined in a laboratory and the results are then sent to you by email. They can be used to quickly diagnose any areas of concern.
Who can’t have this treatment?
- Please avoid working out out prior to your blood test
Aftercare
- Avoid alcohol and vigorous exercise for 24hrs
- Bruising may take a few days to appear, arnica can be helpful in clearing bruising
- It is advisable to avoid aspirin for 12 -48hrs after treatment
- Any tenderness should settle as swelling/bruising goes down.

What does the treatment entail?
The area will be cleaned and a phlebotomist will insert a small needle into your vein to collect your blood. The process is quick and non invasive. The samples collected will be gathered together and send to the laboratory for processing.
How long is the appointment?
Your consultation and appointment will be approx 15 minutes.
What results can I expect?
You can expect a detailed report to be sent to you via email within 24-48 hours with the results your tests.
Does it hurt?
Some mild discomfort may occur due to the insertion of a small needle. Although discomfort is generally minimal. (PLEASE NOTE that if you have your appointment during your menstrual cycle, the pain level could be intensified.)
Is there any downtime?
No, you may resume with your day as normal. There may be redness, bruising, or some bleeding near the insertion site. This will return to normal once the blood starts to clot. A plaster is administered over the injection site, if you are not allergic to latex.
How many treatments will I need?
For most blood tests only 1 session.
