Everything you need to know about Cryotherapy

This month I’m excited to announce the launch of a brand new treatment – Cryotherapy, at the salon.
For those who’ve never heard of it before, it’s basically a procedure for treating unwanted skin imperfections like warts, skin tags, milia, cherry angiomas and skin pigmentation.

How does Cryotherapy work?
To remove and treat skin imperfections like those mentioned above, I use a pen-like device that emits a fine jet of Nitrous Oxide under high pressure. The frozen liquid ruptures the membranes and destroys the cell, preventing warts, skin tags and cherry angiomas from being able to grow back. The device is specially designed so I can work with millimetre precision and only target the desired area.

Who did you do your Cryotherapy training with?
I completed my accredited Cryotherapy training with Cryosthetics. You can read all about the
company and their Cryotherapy products here

How much does Cryotherapy cost?
The price of a Cryotherapy procedure will vary, depending on the type of treatment you require.
Skin tags – £30 each
Cherry angiomas – From £30
Warts – From £50
Milia – From £50
Skin pigmentation – From £100

Benefits of Cryotherapy
Now you have a better understanding of what Cryotherapy is and what it can be used to treat, let’s move on to some of its benefits…

Fast treatment – Cryotherapy treatments typically take between 5 and 30 seconds to administer. Yes, that quick! Clients can pop in on their lunch break or after work to have the treatment done and it’ll take no time at all. What’s more there’s no downtime involved with the healing process, you’ll just need to protect your skin from the sun, with a high SPF like Cryobloc, which you can purchase directly
from my website.
Safe and non-invasive – Cryotherapy is a non-invasive beauty procedure. Providing you go to a fully qualified beauty therapist, like myself, who has undergone Cryotherapy training, you can be rest assured it’s 100% safe.
I carry out consultations with my clients beforehand, to make sure it’s the right treatment for you and find out any information I need to know about existing medical conditions that could affect the
procedure.
Effective – The process of freezing and destroying cells is very effective, so you don’t need to worry about your skin imperfections coming back. Some people may need more than one session, depending on the size of the area we need to target and the results you desire. Again, this is something I will discuss with you during your consultation.
Tackles skin problems – Cryotherapy is great for tackling skin pigmentation problems that can cause some people to feel self-conscious. It can also be used to treat conditions like acne.

Combats signs of ageing – A lot of people get sun spots as they get older but they don’t have to be
permanent. If they bother you you, you can have their appearance reduced with the help of non invasive Cryotherapy.

The procedure can also be used to target other signs of ageing, like fine lines and wrinkles. As well as destroying targeted cells, Cryotherapy oxygenates the skin and improves blood circulation, which can help to achieve a more youthful looking complexion overall.
