Everything you need to know about Cryotherapy

This month I’m excited to announce the launch of a brand new treatment – Cryotherapy, at the salon.

Never heard of it? Let me explain.

Cryotherapy is a non-invasive procedure designed to treat unwanted skin imperfections. In other words, it gets rid of skin tags, milia, cherry angiomas and skin pigmentation.

How does Cryotherapy work?

To remove and treat skin imperfections like those mentioned above, I use a pen-like device that emits a fine jet of Nitrous Oxide under high pressure. The frozen liquid ruptures the membranes and destroys the cell, preventing warts, skin tags and cherry angiomas from being able to grow back.

The treatment device is designed for millimetre precision. Basically, I can target even the tiniest of imperfections without affecting healthy skin.

Who did you do your Cryotherapy training with?

I completed my accredited Cryotherapy training with Cryosthetics.

How much does Cryotherapy cost?

The price of a Cryotherapy procedure will vary. It all depends on the type of treatment you require, along with the number of sessions you need. Here is my current price list:

  • Skin tags – £30 each
  • Cherry angiomas – From £30
  • Warts – From £50
  • Milia – From £50
  • Skin pigmentation – From £100

Benefits of Cryotherapy

Wondering if Cryotherapy is the right treatment for you? Let’s take a look at the benefits…

1. Fast treatment

Treatments typically take between 5 and 30 seconds to administer. Yes, that quick! Clients can pop in on their lunch break or after work to have the treatment done in no time at all. What’s more, there’s no downtime involved with the healing process. So you can carry on as normal! You’ll just need to protect your skin from the sun with a high SPF like Cryobloc, which you can purchase directly from my website.

2. Safe and non-invasive

Cryotherapy is a non-invasive beauty procedure. It is performed by qualified beauty therapists who have undergone professional training. It can therefore be considered a safe treatment for the removal of skin imperfections.

3. Effective

The process of freezing and destroying cells is very effective. Basically you needn’t worry about your skin imperfections coming back. Keep in mind that some people do require more than one treatment. It all comes down to the size of the targeted area and the results you desire. This is something we can discuss at your consultation.

4. Tackles skin problems

Cryotherapy is great for tackling skin pigmentation problems that can cause some people to feel self-conscious. Similarly it can be used to treat acne.

5. Combats signs of ageing

Sun spots are common on ageing skin but they needn’t be permanent! If your sun spots bother you, why not reduce their appearance with the help of non-invasive Cryotherapy?

Additionally, the non-invasive procedure is effective in targeting other signs of ageing, such as fine lines and wrinkles.

Along with destroying targeted cells, it oxygenates the skin and improves blood circulation. Thus helping to achieve a more youthful looking complexion overall.
