How does Microblading Work?

Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that enhances eyebrow appearance by manually depositing pigment into the skin using a handheld tool equipped with fine needles. The process involves creating individual, hair-like strokes that mimic the natural brows, resulting in a fuller and more defined look. First, the technician consults with the client to determine the desired shape and colour. The area is then numbed with a topical anaesthetic to minimise discomfort. The technician carefully draws the strokes, following the natural hair growth pattern. The results can last from one to three years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare.

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent brow tattoo performed with a small handheld tool, using a feather stroke technique to produce the appearance of hair strokes to enhance your brows.

How long is the appointment?

For your first time we book a 3 hour appointment so you won’t be rushed at any point. It often take less time. Much of the time is spent measuring and drawing on a symmetrical set of brows and agreeing on your perfect shape and colour. The actual procedure itself takes 30 mins to an hour. The touch-up appointment will take about 90 minutes.

Is the follow up appointment included in the initial cost?

In order to ensure that the brows heal perfectly a minimum of two treatments are usually needed 6-8 weeks apart on average. This first touch-up is included as it gives us the ability to correct any areas that possibly faded or allows the client to make suggestions if they want adjustments with the shape or colour.

Does it hurt?

We do all that we can to ensure that the process is as comfortable as possible. Before the Microblading/Micropigmentation begins, a topical anaesthetic is applied to the area to minimise discomfort, followed by a liquid anaesthetic during the procedure. Some clients may feel a slight discomfort, but it’s relatively pain free for most.
